Say Thank You with a Gift
November is Gratitude Month, and it's the perfect time to say thank you to the people we see all the time, from family and coworkers to nurses, delivery drivers and airport staff. Donna shares how a little homemade fudge and peanut brittle became a heartfelt thank-you for a nurse who went above and beyond. The big takeaway: it's the attitude and the thought, not the price tag, that makes a gift special.
Fudge, Dates & Thanksgiving Host Gifts
Heading to a Thanksgiving dinner and wondering what to bring? Donna and Lisa talk through host gift ideas straight from The Peanut Patch, including Medjool dates (delicious on their own or stuffed with peanut butter), jars of preserves gifted in a set of three and Donna's favorite, fudge. This season's flavors include pumpkin, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin with nuts, plain peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate, Snickers and salted nut roll. Prefer to give one big gift? Donna also puts together holiday gift baskets that carry a family from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
Fresh Peanut Butter for Peanut Butter Lovers Month
The Peanut Patch roasts its own peanuts and grinds its peanut butter fresh, so there are no preservatives and total control over freshness. Donna and Lisa talk about why peanuts make a great road trip snack, how fresh peanut butter travels, why it's a better choice for dogs when it's made without preservatives and how The Peanut Patch ships peanut butter nationwide.
Four Peanut Butter Recipes
It's Peanut Butter Lovers Month, so the episode closes in the kitchen with four recipes that are easy to make and fun to give:
Donna's Country-Style Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut Butter Crispy Bars, a no-bake treat the kids can help make
Peanut Butter Bars made with honey-roasted peanut butter
Frozen Peanut Butter Brittle Pie, a no-bake pie with peanut brittle and ice cream
