Her expertise extends to coaching, where her students have also achieved world champion status on her acclaimed show team. Christy is a highly respected carded horse show judge with seven breed associations.

As the owner of Wood N Horse Training Stables in Three Rivers, California, Christy provides comprehensive instruction for all skill levels, from beginner riders to advanced equestrians. Beyond the arena, she serves as an expert witness in equine court cases, showcasing her deep understanding of horse behavior and industry standards.

A prolific author, Christy has penned Your Best Horse Show: A Guide for Managers and Exhibitors, the heartwarming children's book Ranger: The Little Horse with a Big Heart, and Hoofprints Across Time: A Trail Ride to Remember. Christy also shares her vast knowledge as the host of Big Blend Radio's ABCs of Horses Podcast which also has a companion digital ABC’s of Horses Magazine, and has been a frequent guest on numerous Big Blend Radio shows and featured in various Big Blend Magazines since 2013.
