Terri and her grandsons kick things off with a Clue-themed high tea at The National Hotel, held every Saturday and Sunday with rotating seasonal themes. From tiny pastries to lemonade served in mini tea kettles for the kids, it's an elegant tradition that works just as well for grandparents and grandkids as it does for couples. Fun fact: The National Hotel originally opened in 1931 and was once the tallest building in Oklahoma.

At Factory Obscura, creativity becomes something you can touch, climb through, and explore. Glowing tunnels, surreal rooms, and interactive installations make this one of Oklahoma City's most imaginative experiences — kids feel like they've stepped into a storybook, while adults rediscover their sense of play. Fun fact: each installation is handmade by a rotating team of local artists, engineers, musicians, and designers, so no two visits are ever quite the same.

One of the largest and most interactive science museums in the nation, Science Museum Oklahoma makes learning feel like play. Families can explore physics, space, engineering, and biology through hands-on exhibits, catch a live science demonstration, race through the sprawling CurioCity exhibit, test out robotics, and take in the Love's Planetarium. Fun fact: the museum houses one of the nation's largest collections of science-themed art, and sits right next door to the Oklahoma City Zoo.

Just east of downtown, Bricktown is Oklahoma City's walkable entertainment district — hop on a water taxi along the Bricktown Canal, grab ice cream, catch a movie, or choose from a mix of restaurants that suit picky eaters and adventurous foodies alike. Fun fact: the Bricktown Canal was completed in 1999 as part of a revitalization project that's since become one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

Frontier City blends classic Western theming with modern rides and refreshed attractions under new Six Flags ownership. Younger kids gravitate toward the gentler rides and shows, while teens head straight for the thrill rides — plus a water park area to cool off on hot days. Fun fact: the park first opened in 1958 as a Wild West town attraction before evolving into the full amusement park it is today.

Rafting, surfing, ziplining, and an 80-foot Sky Trail with slides at the bottom — Riversport Adventures is one of the most dynamic outdoor adventure parks in the country, designed for a wide range of ages and abilities. Terri visited during the Olympic Trials, when athletes from 36 countries competed on Riversport's Whitewater course — engineered with Olympic-level precision as part of Team USA's ongoing training pipeline ahead of the LA28 Summer Games.
