The Jefferson Highway Association (JHA), founded in 1915, created the Jefferson Highway, the "Pine to the Palm" route of about 2,300 miles from Winnipeg, Canada, through Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas to New Orleans, Louisiana, with segments through Arkansas. Today the association works to preserve and promote the historic highway through membership and its signage program.
Association President Roger Bell, the JHA board and special guests join Big Blend Radio as expert guests and as co-hosts of the Jefferson Highway Podcast, airing every 4th Thursday at 6pm Central, with new interviews and stories from the road.
Along with the podcast, Big Blend Media is proud to produce the Jefferson Highway Travel Guide, a monthly digital publication featuring maps, podcasts, and a directory of travel services, attractions, and activities including lodging and dining, shops, tour guides, books, and welcome centers.
