As regular guests on Big Blend Radio and cohosts of Big Blend Radio's ADVENTURES IN ASHEVILLE Podcast which has a companion digital magazine, they share insider tips on everything to see and do in Asheville and its breathtaking surrounding regions, including Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Smoky Mountains National Park.
Their passion stems from being avid travelers, avid road trippers (when not at the Inn), dedicated outdoor adventurers, enthusiastic music lovers, nature and wildlife enthusiasts, and active participants in programs that support military veterans.
They are also host to the new Big Blend Radio “Beyond the Stage” Music series.
Beyond their media contributions, Steve and Karen are the welcoming owners of The Lion and the Rose Bed & Breakfast. This stunning "Pink Lady" Victorian Mansion, nestled in Asheville's historic Montford District, offers luxurious decor, manicured lawns, and exceptional hospitality.
Dating back to 1898, their residence provides a quiet retreat within walking distance of downtown Asheville's many attractions, and is just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore Estate.
Guests are often welcomed with a plate of homemade brownies or cookies, a glass of Steve’s popular homemade craft brew, and a greeting from their charming Shih Tzu pups, Ozzy and Lita, ensuring an unforgettable stay.
