Johnny Schaefer is an award-winning LA-based eclectic singer-songwriter and is a part of the Big Blend Radio and Magazines podcast family. He co-hosts the Big Daily Blend show every first Sunday.
He has a BA in Music (Voice and Composition) from Cal State University, Fullerton. He won the special Music Aid "Best Original Song" category in the 2021 UK Songwriting Contest for his duet with Grammy® Award-Winner Melissa Manchester, “You Can't Hide the Light” and was an Official USA Nominee in the 2021/2022 International Songwriting Awards "Best Solo Songwriter" category.
His recent single, “Find a Place” features 9-time Grammy® nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright. He has sung backup for Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Billy Idol, Pete Townshend, Sarah Vaughan, and Diahann Carroll.

Best-selling author Marianne Williamson soundbytes are integrated into three songs on his Acoustic Remedy album. He sings on the Sammy Rabbit kid's financial literacy album, and composed Gayla Turner's “Don't You Dare (Theme Song from the Audiobook)” sung by Jill Knight.
Johnny is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and the Society of Composers and Lyricists.
